1 to 1 religion (white knuckle remix)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>       <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>nb : aka the <STRONG>808 state<\/STRONG>  remix<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/FONT>&nbsp;<\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">it&#8217;s for reasons like that, that&nbsp;the  <EM>ireallylovemusic<\/EM>&nbsp;archive comes into its own.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">many years ago, i picked up these 2 <STRONG>bomb  the bass<\/STRONG> cd ep sets, <EM>1 to 1 religion<\/EM>, and the deep  <EM>darkheart <\/EM>from a bin sale in a basement shop during a mad stop over  visit to my old hometown leeds<EM>. <\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">both&nbsp;were packaged in mo&#8217;wax styled cardboard  outer sleeves, with each containing 2 cd singles with all manner of well known  names on remix duty, eg <STRONG>sabres of paradise<\/STRONG>, <STRONG>major force  west, dj pogo <\/STRONG>and <STRONG>alpha and omega.<\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">of course, at the time, the reason i picked them up  was due to the close connection <STRONG>bomb the bass<\/STRONG> had to the whole  <STRONG>on-u soundsystem<\/STRONG> set up, making the <EM>clear<\/EM> album  basically an on-u soundsystem album. <\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">subsequently, many of the remixes were of the big  fat dub varierty, or the flavour of the month, trip hop.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">however, buried amongst the remixes were 2 that at  the time i checked out and virtually ignored, as they were not my groove back  then, one by <STRONG>ritche hawtin<\/STRONG> ( the <EM>space funk<\/EM> remix),  and this one by <STRONG>808 state<\/STRONG>, a band that i had no interest in at  all, as they were all for that guest vocalist thing that always put me  off.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">so, its strange that this morning when i came  across the cds that i dropped this <STRONG>808 state<\/STRONG> remix into the  machine, because, sweet mother of mine, it is fantastic.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">having no connection to the source material, the  opening 30 seconds completely throw you off course, its like a sample of a live  show, and all the chaos such an event can cause, but slowly the track descends  into this almighty blend of <STRONG>808 state<\/STRONG> styled  techno,&nbsp;ravaging percussion, and blasts of unexpected trumpet, that just  takes you by the throat and doesn&#8217;t let go for the rest of the 5  minutes.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">absolutely brilliant, and despite the track being  over 12 years old (12 fucking years !)&nbsp;the production is as fresh in 2007  than it was back then.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">oh to have the unknown treasures&nbsp;in my own  archive makes me a happy happy man.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>mp3 <\/EM>: <A href=\"http:\/\/www.ireallylovemusic.co.uk\/music\/808_remix.mp3\">bomb the bass &#8211;
