in case you weren’t aware, the man known as jacknife lee<\/STRONG> has been busy producing quite a few well known bands in recent times but to be honest, that part of the world interests me not.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
now jacknife lee<\/STRONG> steps out of the shadows, once again and drops his music onto the release schedule for all the world to hear.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
however, as my own personal experience confirms, the man never plays the machine of the music industry via normal routes, and i suspect that ever since he was part of the punked up excellence of the commercially rejected but brilliant, compulsion, <\/STRONG>never has. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
in fact one of my most esteemed pieces of electronic ones and zeros happens to be an email response i received from jacknife lee<\/STRONG> a year ago basically telling me to fuck off (in gloriously delicate and well worded form i should add) following a few ‘hows about an interview’ <\/EM>emails.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
so to help promote the twanged up electronic throbbing excellence that has that same type of rock-n-dance groove that depeche mode<\/STRONG> once were the masters of, here’s the press release for the new single direct from the man himself. the package includes <\/FONT>remixes by other fellow producer to the stars, paul epworth<\/EM> under his phones<\/STRONG> nom de plume, who gives the tongue in cheek content a hard edged techno makeover that will drive the indie discos psychotic, whereas switch<\/STRONG> <\/EM>retains some of the melody and rock noise, with a few subtle dancefloor twists.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
oh, and another interesting little fact for you.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
under all the usual legal gubbins the promo has the following phrase : elo on ice. <\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
let’s hope we find out a little more as to what all means, though i think it’s safe to say, i am not going to ask him !<\/FONT><\/DIV><\/DIV>

i’ve never been impressed enough by a press release ro get excited before i hear a record.<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
there’s a tendency now to explain and expose everything that i dont like, so i’m not doing it.<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
musicians and artists are rarely interesting when talking about their own work and music journalism is not at its grandest peak.<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
i prefer the blog, upload, download, like, dislike.<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
