{"id":613,"date":"2007-06-25T19:30:06","date_gmt":"2007-06-25T18:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ireallylovemusic.co.uk\/blog\/?p=613"},"modified":"2007-06-25T19:30:06","modified_gmt":"2007-06-25T18:30:06","slug":"the-lodger-grown-ups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ireallylovemusic.co.uk\/blog\/?p=613","title":{"rendered":"the lodger &#8211; grown ups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>       <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>a summary<\/EM> : leeds indie pop at its  best.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">the jigsaw pieces are easily identified, but that  doesn&#8217;t detract from the pleasures provided. <\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">after all, how can you not fall in love with a band  that match <STRONG>wedding present<\/STRONG>\/<STRONG>buzzcock<\/STRONG> styled  guitars and <STRONG>boo radleys<\/STRONG> harmonies.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">of course the majority of the album consists of bed  sitter land boy-girl misadventures, but in this age where people get most of  their aural kicks from a fucking&nbsp;tinnitus inducing&nbsp;ringtone, its  wonderful to hear a band just be so twee and youthful with their hooks and  choruses. <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">where else would you hear  such&nbsp;simple pleasures on an album in 2007 : <\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>&#8216;and now you in the phonebox, checking out i&#8217;m  fine&#8217;<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">a phonebox ! who uses thoses these days ?
