a couple of years ago, future star making label, something in construction, <\/EM>released a fine little compilation, appetite for construction.  <\/FONT>memory seems to be playing tricks on me that the label gave this away as a downloadable freebie that gave an indication as to the past, present, and (then) future of the label.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
obviously, things went well for the project, as the label are doing it all over again !<\/FONT><\/DIV>
now, as the good people at sic, <\/EM>have recently announced that they are to stop doing the single release thing, then this is a fine way to catch up with the bands new hopes. of which across the 11 tracks, there are plenty. first up is the brmc<\/STRONG> styled fuzz rock-n-roll by blackstrapp <\/STRONG>kicking off proceedings in fine style, after which we are treated to new stuff ffrom the delicate and rather lovely the silent league, <\/STRONG>a rare and chunky little css <\/STRONG>remix of heartstopping the city the airport <\/EM>by loney dear <\/STRONG>who are now all major labelled up thanks to sic, <\/EM>the 7″ only stomper, homewrecker, <\/EM>by the best noise-n-funk monster damn arms, <\/STRONG>etc etc.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
in fact this is a cracking set of disparate tunes and beats proving that the man in charge of the construction site is both inspired and dedicated to the cause of non-mundane music. he obviously has a passion for bands that make beautiful timeless music, along side signing bands that will scare your parents when you drop the needle in the record (hello other passengers).<\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/DIV>
oh, and look, i didn’t even drop a mention of the exclusive akira the don <\/STRONG>remix now did i ? <\/FONT><\/DIV>

i urge you to do the honourable thing and track this down so you know who to be on the lookout for over the forthcoming festival season.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
