no more record label interaction to curtail the desire).

the white label 12″ consisted of 3 tracks, the epic stereo phased 10 minute monster that predates the drum machines and guitar experiments with curve, and then more hard edged club mixes on the flip. i loved the full on version, and had high hopes for it to take the band into new areas of excellence, with the track even being rushed down to radio one on dat for the chris lowe of the pet shop boys to play during a dance mix (rumour was that chris had heard the track and loved it), however, one more 12″, she is filled with secrets 12″, and the bands steam had run out.

then many years later, i got online, started up the various age of chance discussions via yahoo groups and slowly got things in gear. out of this on the wire action came the fact that alongside the normal 12″ was a limited remix 12″ of slow motion riot ! this was news to me.

when the tracks surfaced, they were based around the same keyboard riff, but instead of the hard edged beats, the mixes involved italio house pianos, warp-esque bleeps, and drum loops of the day (early 90s) and so can sound a little date stamped, though with the love of all things old school rave actually could work pretty damn well in ’07.

anyway, for a treat, i have dug out the 10 minute guitar mix parts 1 and 2, its glorious.

age of chance – slow motion riot

more detail : here

it has been a while since i did my age of chance plugging, and i am fairly sure that this post-virgin track has not really surfaced anywhere else on the web so it’s only fair that i do the honourable thing. age of chance had tried to be a pop band with the release […]

[2,5

post-383","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-everything","category-mp3
["GET
