{"id":371,"date":"2006-11-30T15:30:06","date_gmt":"2006-11-30T14:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ireallylovemusic.co.uk\/blog\/?p=371"},"modified":"2006-11-30T15:30:06","modified_gmt":"2006-11-30T14:30:06","slug":"nobodys-perfect-2-andrea-parker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ireallylovemusic.co.uk\/blog\/?p=371","title":{"rendered":"nobodys perfect 2 &#8211; andrea parker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>       <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/FONT>&nbsp;<\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">if you like your techno moody and dark,&nbsp;you  may have hidden away a mix\/compilation put together by <STRONG>andrea  parker<\/STRONG> back at the beginning of 2005 called <EM>nobodys  perfect.<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">i wrote a bit about it : <A href=\"http:\/\/www.ireallylovemusic.co.uk\/dance\/andrea_parker_mix.html\">here<\/A><\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">if you didn&#8217;t pick up the compilation then you  missed and good luck finding a copy now as i seem to recall that the pressing  was somewhat limited (aren&#8217;t they always).<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">anyway, surfing the racks today, i found out that  there is a second instalment, <EM>nobodys perfect 2<\/EM>, which picks up where  the first chapter left off (ie releases 11-20 of the <EM>touchin bass<\/EM>  label). naturally the music is in a similar style : broody, atomspheric bass  noir technology enhanced music by people of whom i have never heard of. all of  which makes these type of releases a perfect way to keep up with whats going on  in the world of shady limited vinyl pressings.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">for some reason, <EM>touchin&#8217; bass<\/EM> seems to  like being as elusive as possible, as far as i can tell, there is no record  label website, no mention of a myspace hangout (which makes for a refreshing  change), and little in the way of detail anywhere other than the straight facts  about each artist involved though i do wonder just how many of these tracks are  actually andrea parker and her long standing sidekick david morley (i really  must dig out their <EM>angular art<\/EM> ep from wayyyy back), working under  pseudonyms. <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">still, if you want to hear techno  that doesn&#8217;t shy away from the edges of the dark side then this 75 minute set  could be just the thing for you.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">oh, and as before, this is a value for money  release, 4 quid and it should be all yours, so you really have nothing to  lose.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>tracklisting<\/EM> : <\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">willow patch wormhole &#8211; secret frequency crew&nbsp;  <BR>neon bridge &#8211; secret frequency crew&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <BR>gloves &#8211;  eggfooyoung<BR>temporary &#8211; doctor evil<BR>phantom movements &#8211;  soulweaver<BR>polarize &#8211; andrea parker david morley<BR>the birth of houdini&#8217;s  voice &#8211; rd <BR>formfollowsfunction &#8211; logreybeam<BR>parra attack &#8211;  soulweaver<BR>step retracing &#8211; bitstream<BR>meld &#8211; doctor evil<BR>trick snitch &#8211;  otto von schirach<BR>anxiety &#8211; nomadic <BR>ritual &#8211; doctor evil<BR>i don&#8217;t know  &#8211; sync 24<BR>anarchy in china &#8211; alpha 606<BR>anno domini &#8211; bitstream&nbsp;  <BR>wheemyth &#8211; the wee djs&nbsp; <BR>robobop &#8211; hydraulix&nbsp; <BR>money &#8211; the  wee djs&nbsp; <BR>nu groove &#8211; adj&nbsp; <BR>faen &#8211; secret frequency crew&nbsp;  <BR>etch &#8211; diagoro&nbsp; <BR>080 &#8211; the wee djs&nbsp; <BR>boombonic plague  (gorge!
