i am finding it more difficult to get finger to qwerty re singles these days, not because there is a lack of decent singles, in fact its probably the complete opposite. it just that i am becoming lazy and concerned about the state of my computer due to the constant swapping out of cds. still with this in mind here are a few releases that i have popped into the relevant spinner.<\/FONT><\/DIV>

goodbooks<\/STRONG> – leni<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
beautifully pacakged debut release from another band who like to put several words together to make a new one. hmmm. this is very pleasant, and can be summarised as athlete<\/STRONG> vs coldplay<\/STRONG>.<\/EM> the singer has that way during a sung phrase of making his vocals switch to a falsetto style that chris martin has begun to really home in on. the songs nice, and will fit in during even radio play. so lets see what happens from hereon.<\/FONT><\/DIV>

noisettes<\/STRONG> – don’t give up<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
second release by this trio to have dropped onto the desk of ireallylovemusic. <\/EM>continuing with their garage indie punk rock being fronted by the glamourous shingai, with her in-yer-fave vocals that steal the show . <\/EM>the mood is one of implied urgency and tries to come over all swampy and old school rock-n-roll in its all too brief 2 minutes as the primal riff doesn’t hang about, with an all out 70s rock guitar solo towards the end you cannot help but be swept along by the bands obvious enthusiasm. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
match the band up with ladyfuzz<\/STRONG> on a double billed tour now and watch the sparks fly.<\/FONT><\/DIV>

pull tiger tail<\/STRONG> – mr 100 percent<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
new rave this, new rave that. i have to concur with miss cool herself lily allen this time, the only good stuff that is being classed as new rave, are the actual remixes that go alongside the uptempo trad jerky indie. so often is the case that the originals just drift over in a haze of disgarded angular guitar riffs and broken basslines, and if i were to be honest, this big white hope aint really giving my ears anything that i haven’t heard many many times in the last few post bloc ferdinand<\/STRONG> years. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
not bad, just not great, but i suspect that there will be some fantastic remixes somewhere out there.<\/FONT><\/DIV>

excellent funked up guitars – check. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
pumping simplistic bass line a la peter hook – check. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
friday night beer friendly chorus – check.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
80s feel to the echo chamber vocals – check.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
crappy over compressed production – check.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
is it any good. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
yes, very. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
get these boys some proper production next time please, these songs could do some serious damage.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
