ok, i realise i didn’t give mark vidlers aka go home productions official bootleg album, mashed, a particularly good write up, but as i stated at the time a lot of the negativity was all down to the restrictions that the obvious licensing choices provided.

however, over the years i have loved his more interesting take on the bootleg genre (doves + david essex = perfection), and his full blown radio mixes are often brilliant.

so, here’s the latest news on the mans music, over to mark himself :

i’ve finally finished the debut mark vidler / ghp album.
it’s called "the future, the past & the present tension".
14 tracks of original music recorded between december 2008 – march 2009.
i wrote, played, recorded and produced the whole damn thing.
here’s the tracklisting:
01 flashback
02 daddy was a s.p.a.c.e.r.o.c.k.e.r
03 slow down sister
04 storm clouds over hoboken
05 my dog, my friend, my wee hairy companion
06 beached buoy
07 il carnevale wd24
08 everybody’s looking rosy in my garden
09 fireball splinters
10 sticky fingered porcupine
11 flashback (revisitation)
12 sky high
13 comes to an end
14 sweet and honey fiction
despite the popular trend of actually "selling" music…i’m not bothering.
it will be a free download and is released on the 22nd july 2009 via
fluicidal recordings and through the go home productions website.
