recently fink<\/strong> released his third album of acoustic based songs, sort of revolution,<\/font> on the ninja tune<\/u> label. <\/p>\n while a lot of the time i find the mans style a little too stripped back, when the sonics are expanded upon then i cannot help but swoon under the majestic beauty, and never more so than on the albums title track, which has been given a delicate retouch by label mates cinematic orchestra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n with the addition of some melancholic strings, rolling bass, and late night atmospherics, the songs strengths are underpinned, underlined, and now suitable for mass market adoration.<\/p>\n surely it cant be beyond the scope of a a-list radio 2 material ? well, we can but hope.<\/p>\n alongside the lead version, there are a couple of extras added to package.<\/p>\n a radio edit that towards the end propels the dub aspect to the fore, making me wish for a wrongtom<\/strong> album remake as he was allowed to do for roots manuva, <\/strong>a new <\/strong>exclusive track, don’t look down<\/font>, which is a strong contender for giving coldplay<\/strong> or u2<\/strong> a run for their money when it comes to closing gigs with smooched up couples with lighters held aloft moment.<\/p>\n then for those that like to have rumbling basslines, there is a massive sideshow dub<\/u> version, that is everything i could wish for. <\/p>\n the melody is held onto, but the bass is brought into the centre of the tracks focus, with lots of echo\/reverb, chopped up vocals, and space invader synths. <\/p>\n all in all, this is a rather spine tinglingly brilliant single in all its flavours.<\/p>\n highly recommended.<\/p>\n
