charly mclion - the nature of the universe
a new label and a complete new sound to me.
in 94 i fell for ambient music a big way - bought far too much FAX stuff and then in 95 rediscovered music with a beat. but somehow this cd has found its way to me. sublime mellow subtle beats interact with gorgeous piano melodies which then interact with liquid guitar solos, the production is on a par with many big names. mainly instrumental except for the odd vocal sample many of these tracks would fit in perfectly with the influx of 'chillout' compilations that are currently flooding the market in the uk.the lack of the name charly mclion on these compilations is the loss for many a listener as given the right exposure to the right crowd there is real crossover potential here.
the cover shows an idyllic sandy beach with crystal blue waters .. i cant think of a better cd to take on a discman to such a destination and just completely let the stresses of modern living sap away.
